Increasing of the air temperature in Alanya will reduce the risk of coronavirus spreading
Scientists from the United States have made a very important statement about the impact of air temperature on the spread of coronavirus
Ministry of health employee, member of the Scientific Committee, Professor, Dr. Ates Kara stated:
“The disease that affects the world, called COVID-19, is better known as coronavirus or – SARS-CoV-2. Scientists from the University of Maryland, USA, announced that SARS-CoV-2 is sensitive to changes in air temperature. They found that SARS-CoV-2 has a seasonal feature. They found that the virus develops most intensively in cities where the average air temperature is 5-11 degrees Celsius and humidity is 50-80 percent.»
The results of the researches showed that in hot regions such as Alanya, the sensitivity of the coronavirus to seasonal changes was detected. In these regions there are much less people who are infected with coronavirus due to high temperature and humidity. However, Dr Kara cautioned noted that climate is not the only factor.
“In regions where the air temperature and humidity are high, there is less infected people. Thanks to this data, we can assume that with the weather warms, the spreading of the virus will decrease. This is good news for us, but climate is not the only factor. So please stay at home!»
