The residential unit in Gokcovacik is located at six km from the center of Gocekand in 20 minutes drive from the international airport of Dalaman(Turkey).The road to Gocek is part of the natioanal network and is maintained with asphalt with the exception of the last six hundred meters (forest stabilized road).The unit is connected to the village network of water,electricity,telephone,fax and satellite internet connection with wireless distribution.
The units are all facing South and were built in1998/1999 under the supervision of the Architect Halis Yildirim redident in Gocek.Great care has been taken in respecting the natural environment and using local construction material(stones and wood).
16.000sq.meters of proprietary land surround the complex and it borders on three sides with national forest.(Future expansion of buildings is possible).Olives,Pines,Fruit trees and Wines are abundant and from a mature garden covering most of the building from view.From many points in the complex,we have spectacular panorama over the entire bay of Gocek.
The Main House
The covered surface extends for a total area of 380 sq.meters with the following configuration:
Main House:Large kitchen with attached lrder/deposit.This portion of the house ha independent entrance and it is separated for the rest of the complex.The kitchen is fullyequipped with gas burner/cooker,microwave,deep freezer,fridge and dishwasher.The deposit area includes gas boiler,sub-zeo temperature large fridge,washing machine and drier,gas tank and extractor fan.
The main entrance to the house facing the kitchen in a cover corridor; a large living room with fire place and doors/windows to the garden covers the ground floor while a wooden internal staircase leads to the second floor with two bedrooms,large bathroom,terrace.This entire unit is heated by electric floor system imported from Germany.The house is built in local stone(outside)coupled with bricks(inside)with wooden insertions.Every room has built-in shelves and cupboars.
Guardian house and garage
The lower level of the Guesthouse contains a 100.000 tons water deposit(fully sanitized with water pump system)and garage for two cars.The road leading to the garage is cement paved.The lower east level is the location for a 90 sq.meters independent house;living room with fire place,large kitchen,one single bedroom,one double bedroom,one bathroom and covered patio.This house has independent access from the forest road,view of the sea and independent access from the forest road,view of the sea and independent water and electricity system.The entire complex utilizes two large septic thanks,it is equipped for the collection of rain water,it is fully terraced with water canal,it is crossed by in patios,illumination along the external walls,one ancient well in operation for gardening water , a chicken hen and a dog cannel.
The two patios are covered by a gazebo structure in antique woog.The complex and the gardens have a large number of interesting features(walls,stone niches,benches,stone tables,gazebos,bridge,stairs and terraces)reflecting the Mediterranean atmosphere and reproducing typical elements of the south-Turkish architectures.
